If you find yourself in a session where you haven't already enrolled, your Tutor can send you an email there and then with the link to join the Classroom. They things make easier still by showing you a QR code which will take you direct!
If you are using a mobile phone or a tablet, you need to download the Google Classroom and Google Docs app, to make the most of your experience.
Adult Learning uses Google Classroom to organise and present your course. It makes access easy to all your course resources and gives a great framework for marking and feedback.
All you need for your Classroom is a Gmail address and its password. Don't worry if you don't have a Gmail address - you can easily create one when you first visit your Class. Remember your password!
Google Classroom is free and works on laptops, tablets and mobile. You don't need any other app or software (such as Microsoft Office). Everything simply works online.
If you are using your own tablet or mobile phone (not a laptop), you will need these apps:
Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides
You can download them free from Google Play/iStore
In some face to face courses your tutor may provide you with a tablet to use in sessions. View a quick intro to using Adult Learning tablets
Our online courses are live video group calls with the tutor present. Follow the link to join your Classroom from the email from Adult Learning and you will see the link to the video 'Meet' or 'Zoom' conversation on the first page ('Stream') of Classroom when you get there.
In online courses, a 2 hour online video session uses about 3Gb data.
