Prevent

Prevent is one of the elements of the government's counter terrorism strategy.

We have a duty to help protect learners from being radicalised. Radicalisation is the process through which a person comes to support or be involved in extremist ideologies. It can result in a person becoming drawn into terrorism and is in itself a form of harm.

If you are worried about someone showing signs of being radicalised or if you hear something that could be terrorist related report it:

• talk to your tutor or another staff member

• contact one of the Adult Learning Service's designated Safeguarding Officers
