Background & Experience: 

In addition to a masters degree in mathematics, I have over 17 years of teaching and support experience with Adult Learning in a variety of subjects, including Functional Skills Maths and English as well as IT courses. 

Key Expertise: 

My specialty is in delivering high-quality mathematics courses to adult learners, including those with English as a second language and extra learning needs. 

Teaching Philosophy:

I build my sessions up from first-principles, helping learners understand concepts and their applications rather than just memorising methods to solve questions. In my courses, you will learn how to apply mathematics to everyday contexts, not just to pass your exams (though you will also pass too!). 

Additional information:

As well as English, I am fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. I enjoy teaching adults because they bring their own experiences and approaches to our courses. Even I sometimes learn new things from my learners!
