English & ESOL

Background & Experience: 

I have 18 years' experience teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages whilst working for Northants Adult Learning. I have a Trinity College Level 4 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages which I gained in 2008 from Northampton College. 

Key Expertise: 

I specialise in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), but I have also taught English Functional Skills, Family Language and ESOL Employability. 

Teaching Philosophy:

I ensure the classroom is fully inclusive, taking into account any individual learning needs. I strive to make each learner feel welcome, comfortable and to reach their learning potential. I use a range of teaching methods to engage and motivate learners. 

Additional information:

I really enjoy teaching ESOL adults. Seeing learners build confidence and progress in their English language skills is an incredibly rich and rewarding experience. I also learn so much about learners' culture, language and history.
